Despite the loss, Isaiah Thomas balls out in debut

Isaiah Thomas’s encouraging story just got better tonight. Thomas was the leading scorer for the Lakers ending the game with 19 points in 21 minutes. Thomas keeps proving to the league why he deserves his chance.

The game ended with the Los Angeles Lakers falling to the Minnesota Timberwolves 110-92. Timberwolves have moved up to the 9th seed (14-15) and the Lakers have stayed put at the 6th seed but now hold a record of 16-14. Karl Anthony Towns finished the game with 10 rebounds and 3 blocks on top of his season-high 28 point night.

After being traded by the Boston Celtics to the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2017, Thomas bounced around the league and eventually became an FA. Thomas was seen killing it in amateur leagues such as the drew league and in one game dropped an extremely significant 81 points! Thomas recently played for the Denver Nuggets G-league affiliate Grand Rapids Gold and scored 42 points in his debut! Lakers then saw what Thomas was capable of and signed I.T to a 10-day contract.
