Lakers suffer big blow with Anthony Davis injury
Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis suffered two different injuries during yesterday’s loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The first injury came after Naz Reid hit the deck sliding into Davis’ right ankle causing A.D to roll it. Davis was then taken into the locker room and made a return with 3 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter.
Though in the 3rd quarter with 6 minutes remaining, LeBron James was on the three-point line and pushed off Jaden McDaniels into Anthony Davis’s left knee.
This was the one that did the damage. According to Shams Charania, Anthony Davis will miss at least four weeks with an MCL sprain in his left knee.
28-year-old Anthony Davis has played in 28 out of the Lakers 30 games this season and has averaged numbers of 23.3 points, 9.9 rebounds, 1.2 steals and 2.0 blocks. This will be a big loss for the Lakers as they are trying to make the playoffs again.
