The Toronto Raptors have taken down the Orlando Magic, 109-99. The Magic didn”t get off to a fast start at all, being outscored by the Raports in the first quarter, 26-11.

The Raptors were led by guard Fred VanVleet who put up 21 points along with 4 rebounds and 10 assists. Kyle Lowry did not have a good scoring wise with only 8, but he did contribute with 9 rebounds and 10 assists. Forward Serge Ibaka came off the bench with 11 points and 9 rebounds. One player that surprisingly didn’t play well was all-star forward Pascal Siakam. The star forward did have 15 points and 6 rebounds but turned the ball over 7 times. Toronto now takes a 4.5 game lead over Boston for the Eastern Conference’s 2nd-seed.

The Magic didn’t have anyone tonight with spectacular games. Evan Fournier and Terrence Ross both put up a team-leading 15 points. Center Nikola Vucevic only had 12 points but did grab 9 rebounds. The best shooter tonight for the Magic tonight, percentage-wise, was backup guard Wes Iwundu. Inwundu had 11 points going 4-6 and 2-3 from three. The Magic failed to shoot the 3-ball tonight going 11/41 from deep. Orlando also didn’t shoot well from the foul line. The Magic’s loss doesn’t hurt the team as the Wizards lost to the 76ers earlier today. If the Magic can win one more seeding game or the Wizards lose one more, they will clinch a spot in the 2020 NBA Playoffs.
