Raptors Convert Boucher to Two-Way Contract

The Toronto Raptors announced Friday they have exercised the two-way player conversion option on forward Chris Boucher. Per team policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.  Boucher totaled nine points, two rebounds, four blocks and 19 minutes in four games during the preseason. He shot .429 (3-for-7) from three-point range.  Boucher, 6-foot-10, 200 pounds, spent last season with Golden State as a two-way player. Raptors’ Lowry on Kawhi: ‘I think we’re gonna be on the same page’

Kyle Lowry spoke to the media on Friday about the Toronto Raptors’ offseason additions. “It’s been a good (training) camp,” Lowry said in Vancouver, according to TSN’s Josh Lewenberg. “New coach, new players, new system, kind of. Just trying to get everything acclimated.” Although players are under no obligation to speak to reporters during training camp, Lowry hadn’t spoken directly to the press since media day. There were some concerns about Lowry’s mindset after seeing close friend DeMar DeRozan exit Toronto following the blockbuster trade for Kawhi Leonard. Lowry has been paired with Leonard in training camp drills this week, and he sounded keen on the … Continue reading Raptors’ Lowry on Kawhi: ‘I think we’re gonna be on the same page’

The Toronto Raptors have filled out their training camp roster by signing Eric Moreland to a partially guaranteed one-year deal, according to a report from Michael Scotto of The Athletic. It would seem likely once again that Moreland will be in camp on an Exhibit 10 deal, one that would allow him to compete for a roster spot out of camp and, failing that, be converted to a two-way player or earn a $50,000 bonus for agreeing to join Raptors 905 of the G League if he’s waived. At this point, Moreland has more than proven himself at the G … Continue reading NEWS Report: Raptors bringing Eric Moreland into training camp

Kawhi Leonard ‘Will Not Join the Lakers’; Does Not Want to Play in LeBron’s Shadow

Rose credentialed himself by saying he was the one who told the world the situation with the Spurs was fractured back in January.
Rose says if Leonard does end up playing in the rumored city, Los Angeles, it will be for the Clippers.

This is on par with what Spurs reporter Michael C. Wright said in January that Leonard prefers the Clippers because he does not want to play “second fiddle” to LeBron. NBA Insider Shams Charania also said on The Herd in July, LeBron joining the Lakers if anything will push Leonard more towards the Clippers.
