Devonte’ Graham hits longest game-winner in the past 25 years
In a wild ending to the Oklahoma City Thunder and New Orleans Pelicans game, Devonte Graham hit a 61-foot game-winning buzzer beater.
The game was 110-107 for the Pelicans. The Thunder were down three points and they needed a shot to go in to tie the game up and force overtime. OKC had the ball and were inbounding with 4.5 seconds left on the clock. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander caught the ball near the logo and dribbled to try and get open. At around logo-range, Shai threw up a one-legged heave, which swished in with 1.4 seconds left. He tied the game up at 110 apiece.
The fans were going crazy. They thought that the Thunder had won it.
Neither team had a timeout and both were in the bonus. Devonte’ Graham caught the ball off the baseline inbound after the bucket, took one dribble, and hopped into a 61-foot shot of desperation. He let it go with just 0.3 seconds left. To his surprise, it banked it and he won the game for the Pelicans. The Pelicans squad went wild. It was one of the craziest endings to a game that you will ever see!
