Browns’ Baker Mayfield and Kevin Stefanski Test Positive for COVID-19

Unfortunate news for the Cleveland Browns this morning as both their starting quarterback, Baker Mayfield, and head coach Kevin Stefanski have tested positive for COVID-19.

Since Monday over 50 players have tested positive across the league and the Browns are no exception. The 7-6 Browns have a must-win matchup this week against the 6-7 Las Vegas Raiders in order to keep playoff hopes alive, and this will be made no easier if Mayfield and Stefanski are unable to test out of league COVID-19 protocol.

Stefanski is vaccinated and recently disclosed he has gotten the booster so there is a chance hes able to make the game Sunday. Mayfield would need to product two negative tests between now and Saturday otherwise he’s out indefinitely.
