Top Fantasy Steals This Season

Fantasy football has been one of the biggest topics throughout every NFL year since it’s startup back in 1990. What football fan doesn’t love some fantasy football competition?
Whether it’s a league with your friends, coworkers, or randoms, the goal is always to have the best players on your roster to win the championship but you can’t have the best player at every position obviously, so that’s where these fantasy steals come into play.
That brings us to this article of the top fantasy steals this season. You need to draft wisely in every round because of byes, potential injuries, and more. Here are the top fantasy steals at every position this NFL season!
QB : Jalen Hurts — Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts’ dual threat ability has given fantasy owners a new window on how to go about the QB1 position. Hurts and his passing stats aren’t terrible whatsoever, but they aren’t as good passing wise as top fantasy players like Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady. But the legs! The legs of Jalen Hurts! His scrambling ability, his down the field vision – this guy could’ve been a top college running back if he wanted to get into that. Ranked as the 6th ranked QB and has been off the last two weeks to add to that. Once ranked the 2nd best QB option was crazy to think about as this is Hurts first full season with the Eagles. QB steal of the year goes to Jalen Hurts.
Honorable Mentions : Kirk Cousins, Matthew Stafford, Carson Wentz, Derek Carr.
RB : Jonathan Taylor — Indianapolis Colts

Taylor had a high ceiling to begin with, but he has blown everyone away this season. The leagues top rusher has been the Colts team MVP easily and even doing so with a banged up offensive line. Taylor is the top ranked fantasy back and nothing seems to be stopping that right now. Taylor could be considered the steal of the year because he will undoubtedly go top five next season in most fantasy drafts.
Honorable Mentions : James Conner, Leonard Fournette, Cordarrelle Patterson.
WR : Deebo Samuel — San Francisco 49ers

It’s just about every week we watch Deebo Samuel running crazy on very solid defenses. The league has no answer and neither do opposing fantasy teams! Listed as a WR, Samuel has taken on the RB1 role as well for San Francisco as he leads the team in rushing as well as receiving. The 5th ranked receiver this year has been going crazy and has missed a game as well, so who’s to say he’s not top five? Samuel was a mid-round steak that was doubted heavily coming into the season. Most analysts thought Brandon Ayiuk would take the step up in the offense but Deebo has been doing it all for his fantasy owners.
Honorable Mentions : Ja’Marr Chase, Diontae Johnson, Michael Pittman Jr.
TE: Dawson Knox — Buffalo Bills

Knox showed true fantasy potential on the tail end of last year, mainly due to the pass-friendly offense ran by the leagues top ranked fantasy QB, Josh Allen. Knox has been terrific in fantasy leagues, racking up 8 TDs and ranking as the 5th best TE option across most fantasy platforms. Safe to say Knox wasn’t expected to be top 10, and definitely not top 5. Knox currently ranks higher than Kyle Pitts, some who believed would be a number one option at the position.
Honorable Mentions : Dallas Goedert, Dalton Schultz, Pat Freiermuth.
D/ST : New England Patriots

Arguably the leagues best defense was easily the best steal on the defensive fantasy board. Bill’s defense has more fantasy points this season than superstars like Nick Chubb, Stefon Diggs, Alvin Kamara, DK Metcalf, Travis Kelce, Keenan Allen and more! Undoubtedly a lucky pick to those who grabbed this Patriots defense.
Honorable Mentions : Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Arizona Cardinals.
