Sonya Curry, Steph’s Mom files for divorce from Dell
Sonya Curry, mother of Steph Curry is separating from Dell. Sonya filed for divorce back in June in North Carolina, according to TMZ Sports. The divorce is still ongoing and details surrounding the separation are unclear.
Dell and Sonya had first met as student-athletes at Virginia Tech and dated for several years. The couple officially married in 1988 and since had children Stephen, Seth, and Sydell. Dell’s early marriage with Sonya was mostly focused on basketball up until his retirement in 2001. Dell played 16 years of NBA with runs on the Jazz, Cavs, Hornets, Bucks, and Raptors. During his campaigns the guard averaged career totals of 11.7 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 1.8 assist on 40.2% shooting from distance which his sons certainly inherited.
Sonya, 55 and Dell, 57 have most famously been spotted cheering for Steph and Seth on the sidelines wearing attire with both the Warriors and Trail Blazers logos. The brothers back in 2019 became the first pair of siblings to play against each other in an Conference Finals in NBA history.

TMZ further reported that they reached out to Steph’s camp for comment, but a response it yet to be received as the divorce stands.
