Mike Tyson’s Crazy Story of When he Offered $10K to Fight a Gorilla
This is most likely not your first, nor last Mike Tyson “crazy story,” but this one is oddly ordinary to say the least.
The official report describes the scene with Mike Tyson taking his then girlfriend, now ex-wife Robin Givens out on a date to a zoo.
This fun romantic trip ultimately dragged into Tyson offering a zookeeper $10,000 to open a cage so he could “smash” a silverback gorilla in the face.
Tyson claims during his zoo tour, the Gorilla was being a “bully” and made his offer stoutly with no remorse. The fearless fighter wanted to seriously assert dominance over this gorilla.
Not that this is a surprising move from the legendary fighter, but it is odd that a any human would voluntarily want to take on one of the most dominant animals in a gorilla.

“I offered the attendant $10,000 to open the cage and let [me] smash that silverback’s snot box! He declined, said Tyson.
This is not Iron Mike’s first time dealing with animals or their behavior as he owned his own pet tiger that attacked an intruder. Tyson paid off the victim with a $250,000 check.

Tyson’s actions and life all-around have changed for the better over the last 30 or so years, and it has totally changed the legend for good.
Tyson now owns his own small and delicate dog named Mars and just wrapped up a fight against Roy Jones Jr just over a couple weeks ago.
