Schroder, 27, has been atop the Lakers trade market, as Los Angeles could potentially could lose veteran guards Rajon Rondo and Avery Bradley to free agency.

The Thunder now sit with their original draft pick of 25th overall, and now the Lakers pick via trade at 28th.

The Thunder’s draft capital for this years draft may be a build up to land a player or get into the top ten come draft night.

Schroder has just one year and $15.5 million left on his contract, the Lakers plan to resign and keep him in LA.

Schroder posted 18.9 points and 4.0 assists last season on a surprising Thunder team with Chris Paul and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Schroder’s regular season performance boosted the Thunder’s record, ultimately landing them in the playoffs.

Schroder’s scoring and playmaking abilities will be integral for any team that is willing to acquire his services, in this case, the Lakers made the move.
