Matthew Stafford Placed on Reserve/Covid List
The Coronavirus is coming in droves to the NFL, starting with the Titans and has hit several teams since. The newest team to become victims of the Virus is the Detroit Lions.
Lions Quarterback Matthew Stafford was reportedly in contact with a non-team member who tested positive for Covid and is considered “high-risk, close contact.”
This is not Matthew Stafford’s first encounter with Covid. Earlier in the season he had a false-positive test that ended up being the reason their game against the Saints wasn’t cancelled, as another false-positive occurred with a Saints player.
The Stafford family has tested negative for Covid as far as we know, meaning that the star Quarterback may be able to play against the Vikings on Sunday.
This Sunday, the Lions will be without Kenny Golladay, who is doubtful, and possibly TJ Hockenson, who is questionable. They will be going up against a momentous Vikings team that is coming off a win against the Green Bay Packers.
