The Arizona Cardinals have two players that have tested positive for coronavirus this weekend, head coach Kliff Kingsbury confirmed Monday.

Linebacker, Devon Kennard, is one known player that has contracted the virus.

Kennard confirmed his COVID-19 case via Twitter on Monday afternoon.

Although any positive test is alarming to the NFL, the Cardinals do not think that two positive tests would severely impact Arizona’s roster or the team’s ability to prepare for a Sunday home game against the Miami Dolphins.

No Cardinals tested positive through their bye week testing until Monday, as Arizona did not hold practice amid the positive tests.

KeeSean Johnson is the only other Cardinals player to have been on the COVID-19/reserve list so far this season. Now, Kennard and another player will be added to the list.

The Cardinals sit behind the Seattle Seahawks in the NFC West, at 5-2 and will take on Dolphins shorthanded.
