Stan Van Gundy to be the Next Head Coach of the New Orleans Pelicans

The New Orleans Pelicans have found their new coach according to Adrian Wojnarowski

The Pelicans fired Alvin Gentry after he failed to bring the team to the playoffs in the bubble.

Stan Van Gundy will now be the coach of the exciting young Pelicans.

Gundy was most recently the head coach of the Detroit Pistons where he brought the team one playoff appearance in what many consider a “competitive” sweep against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Stan Van Gundy will be in entering in the hot seat now that he is coaching Zion Williamson. The expectation is going to be a playoff berth, and a competitive series.

We’ll see if Stan has it in him.
