Rajon Rondo Expected to Become an Unrestricted Free Agent
Rajon Rondo is reportedly going to decline his player option in favor of seeking a new contract. According to Chris Sheridan, Rondo will not be joining the Lakers on this contract, but he has not ruled out re-signing with the team.
Like Dwight Howard, Rajon Rondo proved that he is still more than capable of helping a team go to the playoffs, and even win a championship. He played a huge role with the Lakers as their Point Guard.
During the playoffs, Rondo averaged 8.9 points, 6.6 assists, and 1.4 steals while playing just 24.7 minutes per game. He was a valuable veteran presence for the Lakers and many contenders are likely to pitch him an offer.
There are no reports right now as to where Rondo is considering.
