Possible Landing Spots for Le’Veon Bell

0

Le’Veon Bell has star potential there’s no doubt about it. At Michigan State; he ran for 1793 yards in his junior season, earning a second round draft selection to the Pittsburgh Steelers where he had 18 games over 100 yards. Now, after a horrible season and a quarter with the Jets he is looking for a new home and looking to get back to his old ways. Let’s take a look at some possible landing spots for the former All Pro Star free agent.

Kansas City Chiefs

The Kansas City Chiefs have one of the most prolific offenses in the NFL and are coming off a Super Bowl. The run game has not been the best. It has been solid with Clyde Edwards-Helaire, but Le’Veon would make that offense nearly unstoppable as Andy Reid would use him all across the field capitalizing on his versatility. Clyde and Le’Veon would be a deathly tandem that combined with Mahomes and his receiving corps, would be very hard to stop. This choice makes sense in terms of the best opportunity to prove himself for a longer contact in the offseason however; the chiefs most likely wouldn’t be able to resign him in the offseason without letting go of other key pieces.

Buffalo Bills

Josh Allen has quickly become one of the most explosive quarterbacks in the NFL. He has an extremely strong arm combined with solid mobility. Allen’s only issue is accuracy and a back like Bell could help that immensely. Their current backs are Devin Singletary and Zack Moss and while talented, Bell gives them an elite rusher and solid pass catcher and more importantly worries defenses more than the two which will take pressure off of Allen. The Bills are in serious playoff contention and Bell not only could help them get to the playoffs, he could potentially earn a long term contract in Buffalo as they have cap space to sign him.

Miami Dolphins

The Miami Dolphins are the wildcard in Le’Veon Bell’s teams of choice, as after not having success in NY why would he want to go to another rebuilding team in Miami? Well, the dolphins have a lot of young talent to build around and a potential franchise QB in Tua. Bell could come in immediately and cement himself as a star in their offense and be the leader in the offense until Tua takes over. The Dolphins give him an opportunity to show what he’s capable of and if everything goes to plan he has a chance to be apart of a talented dolphins team in a few years. Miami is a great place to live and if Le’Veon wants to continue his rap career on the side, Miami is a great place to do that. From a Football standpoint; if he believes he is capable of carrying an offense for a year or two and wants to showcase his skills this is the place for that. They have the most cap space out of the 3 teams he desires and can earn the most money with them as well.

It will be interesting to see where Bell lands, as all of these teams provide a solid opportunity for the former Steeler and Jet. The question will be is he capable of coming back to the level of production he was at in Pittsburgh.
