Dwayne Haskins of the Washington Football Team is expected to be traded prior to the upcoming NFL traded deadline on November 3rd per CBS Sports Jason La Canfora.
The sophomore QB has underperformed during his tenure in Washington, posting a dismal passer rating of 80.3 to go along with 3 interceptions in just 4 games this season.
The young Ohio State alum was named the starter in the preseason but has since been demoted to the 3rd string for Sunday’s game versus the L.A Rams.
He was benched due to what coach Ron River called “poor game preparation habits”. Rivera has named Kyle Allen the starting QB, who he coached last year in Carolina.
Washington is waiting for the recovery of backup Alex Smith before making any trade decisions to help preserve their depth at the position.
Haskins was the 15th overall pick and still has potential but the brief flashes, if any, have not been enough to secure his spot as the franchise star as both parties are seemingly going to part ways.
