A highly anticipated matchup between the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs, and the New England Patriots has been rescheduled due to COVID-19 concerns surrounding the Patriots.

News broke that Cam Newton tested positive this week. This forced the game to be scheduled to a different day after the tests were confirmed.

The NFL has tested all the players from both teams. After all negatives, they have decided to schedule the game for Monday, at 7:05 EST.

With Newton testing positive, he will be sidelined at least this week against the Chiefs. This is a huge blow for the Patriots offense.

Newton has had a spark this season, making a run for another MVP award, now has to watch from the couch as Brian Hoyer will get the start.

The Patriots enter this game 2-1, a week off a victory against the up and coming Raiders.

Bill Belichick will look to survive Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City offense without their starting quarterback.

The Chiefs come into the weekend with a perfect 3-0 record. Last week marked a dominant win against Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens.

The NFL will still keep a close eyes on all tests coming from both of these teams. Even one additional positive test, and the game will be canceled.
