Antonio Brown’s Court Situation Gets Worse, Trial Set for December

Antonio Brown has gone from one of the most popular players in the NFL to a journeyman whose troubles follow him wherever.

Brown was suspended for the first 8 games of this season after violating league conduct policies last year. One of these violations was a civil lawsuit from his former trainer Britney Taylor, alleging that Brown sexually assaulted her.

Brown’s lawyer, Carson Hancock had represented him since June 2019, against burglary and battery charges where Brown pleaded no contest. Hancock dropped Brown on the eve of the trial deadline citing that there were “irreconcilable differences” leading to his departure.

Brown was to release any text messages and evidence relating to Taylor’s suit against him this Wednesday, where Hancock would have represented him but the attorney cut ties just before the trial. He is now looking for a December extension on the case, hoping to buy time for finding a new attorney.

The former All-Pro receiver was being courted by the Houston Texans as they looked to sign him after his case was settled but now their is seemingly no end to his legal troubles.
