Tua Tagovailoa, one of the quarterbacks for the Miami Dolphins and fifth overall pick in the 2020 draft, did an interview with GQ Sports about how he spent the first one million dollars he made from the NFL.
Tua said in the interview that he is “living off of my marketing money” and is putting “everything else” aside.
The first thing Tua did once he received his first paycheck was to buy his mom a car. He bought his mom a 2020 Escalade for 80k on mother’s day.
After Tua bought his mom a car, Tua bought himself two cars. He bought a Ford Flex and a BMW. The reason Tua bought two cars was for when his family comes over for them to have a car to use and another for himself. Tua spent 120k on both of the cars combined.
After the cars, Tua bought his dad a Rolex watch and for himself he bought an apple watch and some earrings. Tua spent about 14k on the three items.
Tua also purchased some gym equipment so he could work out in his garage. The gym equipment costed Tua 30k.
Tua also spent money on a house. Tua bought a big house on a lake with a backyard and pool. The house costed the rest of the million and more. Tua bought the house for 1.65 million dollars.
