Raptors Force Game 7 Against Boston With Clutch Plays By Star Players

Thriller.

Absolute Thriller.

This has got to be arguably the greatest, most entertaining game of the bubble so far. Back-and-forth both teams went, everyone was tense until the last moment.

Scuffling right after the buzzer was all part of this highly intense game. Clutch plays from both sides with the Raptors life on the line and the Celtics trying to finish off the defending champs who have fought heart-and-soul to stay alive and have a chance out squeaking into the next round to face the Heat.

A 125-122 2OT victory was one for the ages and there’s no doubt about that.

Unlike Game 5, this game was fought out evenly from the start. Neck-and-neck, neither team gave each other any breathing room throughout, forcing both Nick Nurse and Brad Stevens to play their stars for almost 50 minutes each.

Pascal Siakam, Kyle Lowry, Fred VanVleet, Kemba Walker, Jaylen Brown, and Jayson Tatum ALL played 50+ minutes tonight, making everyone wonder how they will fare in Friday’s enticing Game 7 between the two very even teams.

Marcus Smart had a triple-double and Jayson Tatum was one assist away from having one of his own. Jaylen Brown lead the team in scoring with 31 points. Kemba Walker was neutralized for almost the entire night as he was only 2/11 from the field tonight.

Kyle Lowry lead the charge for the Raptors, dropping 31 points while VanVleet had an outstanding night of his own with a 21pts / 9reb / 7ast stat-line. Norman Powell was extremely clutch, hitting a few free-throws and three-pointers in the closing moments to give Toronto the win.

Siakam and Marc Gasol have to step it up in Game 7 if they want to have a solid chance of winning and moving on. Both were virtually non-existent and did not impact the game as they should. Siakam had a horrid night, shooting a measly 26.3% from the field tonight going 5/19.

Kemba must find a way out of the Raptors suffocating defense to make the difference for the C’s and give them the upper-hand.

Both outstanding teams. Both with outstanding players, played nearly to the point of exhaustion.

Who will be able to withstand?

Who will take the Game 7 we are all waiting to see?

Friday is when will you will get your answer.

My take?

The defending champs move on.
