James Harden’s Defense Saves Houston’s Season in Game-7 Thriller
This may be the best game of the playoffs. The Rockets took the game 104-102 in a win-or-go-home game.
The game went down to the wire with James Harden’s block on Luguentez Dort being the key moment for the Rockets. Although it wasn’t the last play, James Harden showed just how fantastic his defense can be when he’s on.
Despite his defense, he claimed that he played ‘like sh*t’ as he only shot 4-15 from the field and 1-9 from deep. Despite that, Robert Covington and Eric Gordon scored 21 each and their offense was huge for the Rockets in this game. This game proved that they don’t need to rely on their superstars to win games.
For the Thunder, the future looks bright for Luguentez Dort, the undrafted rookie. In this game, he scored 30 points on 10-21 shooting and 6-12 from deep. At just 21, he is already proving every team wrong twice over and is going to be a key asset to their future along with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and their bottomless first-round draft picks.
The Houston Rockets move onto the second round to play LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers.
The will play their first game on Friday at 9:00
