WWE Raw Results – 6/24/20

WWE Champion Drew McIntyre is Attacked by Randy Orton

Drew McIntyre, the WWE Champion, comes out to start the show and talks about his clash with Randy Orton at SummerSlam. McIntyre challenges Orton to one more match, as he wants to send “The Legend Killer” back to Claymore Country. McIntyre finished cutting his promo and heads backstage. Orton then attacks the champ from behind and punts “The Scottish Psychopath” twice. 

Bayley (c) vs. Shayna Baszler

Both women go bath a forth with one another throughout the matchup. Baszler eventually locks in a submission hold on Bayley but Sasha Banks, Bayley’s tag team partner, causes a distraction. This leads to Baszler breaking the hold. Due to the distraction from Banks, Bayley gains momentum against Baszler. Nia Jax then gets in the middle of the match and attacks Baszler, leading to a disqualification. Jax then tries to attack Sasha Banks and Bayley, but they get away. Later in the night it is announced that Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler will be the two women taking on Sasha Banks and Bayley for the Women’s Tag Team Championships this Sunday at Payback. Shayna Baszler wins via. disqualification – Grade C

The KO Show: Aleister Black Returns to Raw

Kevin Owens is joined by Aleister Black for this week’s episode of “The KO Show.” Owens tries to explain that Seth Rollins and Murphy have a history of playing mind games with others. Aleister Black then, out of nowhere, hits Owens with a spinning elbow and a Black Mass. Black then heads backstage.

Fatal 4-Way 24/7 Championship Match – Shelton Benjamin (c) vs. Cedric Alexander vs. R-Truth vs. Akira Tozawa 

Cedric Alexander and Shelton Benjamin have most of the momentum over the other two competitors throughout the match. Later on in the match, Tozawa’s ninjas catch their leader after he was thrown outside of the ring by Benjamin. They throw him back in, and Tozawa pins R-Truth for the win. Akira Tozawa wins via. pinfall over R-Truth to become the new 24/7 Champion – Grade D+

Keith Lee Confronts Randy Orton
It is now time for Randy Orton to cut a promo after his loss at SummerSlam. Despite losing, Orton says that he is “The Legend Killer.” He was about to say that he is the best wrestler ever, but Keith Lee interrupts him. Lee has been called up from NXT after he lost the NXT Championship last Saturday at NXT TakeOver: 30. Lee introduces himself to Orton and asks for a match.

Montez Ford vs. Angel Garza

Ford and Garza go back and forth for the first part of the match. However, when Garza starts to gain the upper hand Ivar, of The Viking Raiders, comes out to hand Demi Burnett a chicken leg. Burnett, from The Bachelor, is then asked by Ivar if she wants to get out of here, and she says yes. Ivar and Burnett then leave the ringside and get backstage. Garza is not distracted as he wants attention from Burnett, and Ford capitalizes on the opportunity. Ford then punches Garza off the top rope and delivers a frog splash for the win. Montez Ford wins via. pinfall – Grade C

Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott vs. Zelina Vega and The IIconics

The IIconics wrestle down Riott and Morgan in the early stages of this matchup. Vega eventually enteras the matchup but here comes Belair. Belair beats down Vega with ease and hits a moonsault. She goes for the cover, but the IIconics break it up. Riott and Morgan then enter the ring and both hit step-up enzuigiris. Belair then finishes Vega off with a K.O.D for the win. Bianca Belair, Liv Morgan and Ruby Riott win via. Pinfall – Grade C+

Arm Wrestling Match – Apollo Crews (c) vs. Bobby Lashley

Lashley starts talking and says that he will beat him up after their arm wrestling match and at Payback. Lashley does have a United States Championship Match at Payback this Sunday vs. Apollo Crews. Lashley and Crews are ready to see who is better at arm wrestling, but Crews steps on Lashley’s foot and then pins his arm for the win. Crews then starts to laugh at Lashley. Crews then takes out all three members of “The Hurt Business.” He heads up the stage holding up his United States Championship.

Lana and Natalya Take Shots at Mickie James

Lana and Natalya start to make fun of James and say that they will retire her. James rushes towards the ring and takes out Natalya. She then connects a chin kick to the face of Lana. 

The Hurt Business Takes Over Raw Underground Once Again

Bobby Lashley destroys one competitor and then takes on Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler starts off fast but Lashley was just too strong. Lashley then takes out Cedric Alexander. Then “The Viking Raiders”get involved and have an all out brawl with the members of “The Hurt Business.” 

Randy Orton vs. Keith Lee

Lee’s first match is definitely a big one against “The Apex Predator” Randy Orton. Lee and Orton go back and forth, but the newest member of the Raw roster uses his strength to throw Orton over his head. Lee then hits a crossbody taking down Orton. Lee, with all the momentum, pushes Orton outside of the ring. Orton then is thrown back into the ring, and finds a way to deliver a draping DDT. Orton looks to finish off Lee with an RKO, but Drew McIntyre interferes and attacks Orton, ending the match.Later on, Orton comes up from behind and punts McIntyre in the head for the third time tonight. The WWE Champion was then taken out of the area in an ambulance. Orton wins via. disqualification – Grade B

Raw Women’s Championship Lumberjack Match – Asuka (c) vs. Sasha Banks 

The match is a rematch after Sasha Banks lost the title at SummerSlam. Both women trade bows with one another. Bayley also takes a shot at Asuka. Bayley’s kick to Asuka was legal due to the match being a Lumberjack match. Banks would take the upper hand and hit a frog splash from the top rope, but Asuka kicks out. Bayley tries to help her tag team partner out by using a chair, but Shayna Baszler attacks Bayley. Asuka then locks in the Asuka Lock submission hold on Banks. “The Boss” Sasha Banks is then forced to tap out. Asuka wins via. Submission to retain the Raw Women’s Championship – Grade C+

Main Event: Dominik and Rey Mysterio vs. Seth Rollins and Murphy

Dominik starts off fast with the offense against Murphy. He hits a springboard but Murphy kicks out at two. Murphy tries to find a way to gain some momentum but Dominik hits a DDT. However, Seth Rollins breaks it up. The Mysterio’s then send Murphy to the middle rope and hit a double 619. Dominik heads to the top rope but Rollins pushes him off. Rey Mysterio tries to chase down Rollins, as he runs away, but here is Retribution. Retribution attacks the Mysterios ending the match. After the match, Retribution continues their assault, as “The Monday Night Messiah” Seth Rollins and Murphy look on from the stage. Dominik and Rey Mysterio win via. disqualification – Grade B
