Luka Shines as Mavericks Tie Series in Stunning Fashion
After one of the games of the year, the Mavericks have tied this round 1 series at 2 games each. The final was 135-133 in an overtime thriller, capped off by a classic Doncic game winner. His iconic game included 43 points, 17 rebounds and 13 assists, carrying the Porzingis-less Mavericks to a huge game 4 victory to even the series.
This battle between Kawhi and Luka continues to go back and forth, and is amazing for all NBA fans. They both hit huge shots, and made great plays to create for teammates. Even the ‘bad defender’ Doncic was giving it everything on defense.
The Mavericks role players stepped up in a huge way without KP in this one. Burke and Hardaway took pressure of Luka by creating their own offense and hitting big shots. Kleber and Boban, despite not having big statistical nights, were huge contributors on defense and on the glass for Dallas.

The Paul George saga unfortunately continues for the Clippers, and he now needs to step up before it is too late. Another poor shooting night, finishing with only 9 points. For Paul’s role on this team, a performance like that is simply not enough.
Many other Clippers gave a good showing in game 4. Kawhi was efficient and dominant, finishing with 32 and 9. Lou Will was on fire, with 36 off the bench. However, it was not enough, as the 2nd best team in the West during the regular season now has a tough series on their hands.
Going into game 5, this series is up for grabs. Both teams have shown an ability to win in late game situations, and can comeback from any defecit. The 2nd star for each team will be the key. Can Porzingis come back in time for game 5, and can PG get back to his elite 2 way play to help his team.
