Spurs Take Down the Rockets in Comeback Win

The Spurs, who are currently fighting for a playoff spot, played against the Rockets tonight in Orlando.

The Spurs had the upper hand against the Rockets for most of the game, outscoring them in the first 3 quarters.

The Rockets were missing James Harden and Eric Gordon (ankle). The Spurs were missing Tyler Zeller and Bryn Forbes.

DeMar DeRozan started as at a forward position for the Spurs. DeRozan played 28 minutes and shot 9-13 from the field. DeRozan scored 23 points, pulled in 6 rebounds, got 4 assists and stole the ball twice. Dejounte Murray played 29 minutes and shot 5-10 from the field and 1-3 from deep. He finished the game with 11 points, 2 rebounds, 7 assists and 2 steals.

Keldon Johnson came off the bench for the Spurs and played 26 minutes. Johnson scored 24 points on 8-12 shooting from the field and a perfect 3-3 from 3-point range. Johnson grabbed himself a double-double as he pulled in 11 boards. He dished out 3 assists.

Rudy Gay and Marco Belinelli each scored 13 points off the bench.

Russell Westbrook returned for the Rockets tonight after missing 2 games with a quad injury. He played 27 minutes and scored 20 points on 8-17 shooting from the field and 2-4 from beyond the arc. He grabbed 5 rebounds, dished out 6 assists and got 1 steal.

Jeff Green played 31 minutes for the Rockets and scored 17 points on 6-9 shooting. Green grabbed 4 rebounds and got 2 assists.

Ben McLemore shot 6-16 from the field and 4-12 from beyond the arc. He finished the game with 26 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist in 27 minutes.

Austin Rivers and Chris Clemons came off the bench and scored 13 points each.

In the end, the Spurs beat the Rockets 123-105 and kept their playoff hopes alive with the win.
