Darius Bazley On Fire Over the Past 2 Games

Darius Bazley has been on fire during the past two games for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder gave Darius Bazley more minutes against the Suns and Wizards due to key absences on the roster.

Darius Bazley has taken advantage of the added minutes he has received over the past two games.

Bazley scored 23 points and grabbed 7 rebounds in the win against the Wizards. Bazley was hot from the field scoring on 8/13 of his field goal attempts.

Against the Suns, Bazley scored 22 and grabbed 10 rebounds to get his first double-double in his NBA career. Bazley was hot from the field in the Suns game as well, scoring on 8/16 of his attempts. Bazley also racked up a single block and a steal in the loss against the Suns.

Bazley’s main area of improvement has been his shooting. Before the past two games, Bazley was shooting 37.4% from the field. Bazley has improved on his shooting tremendously over the past two games. Bazley has shot 55.2% in these games and was a key part of the Thunder’s win over the Wizards.

Chris Paul was impressed by Bazley’s improvements as well, especially his shooting.

Another area of improvement for Bazley has been his defense. With Adams and Noel out for the past couple of games Bazley has experienced some playing time at the Center position. Bazley has been a very vocal player on defense which has been crucial to his success on that end of the floor.

It looks like the Thunder have found one of their future franchise cornerstones in Darius Bazley. If Darius Bazley can continue his improvement over the next few seasons, Bazley is still a very raw player, his versatile skill set and frame will allow for him to be a superstar in the NBA.
