Draymond Green Fined $50,000 For Tampering

Golden State Warriors Forward, Draymond Green has been fined $50,000 for violating the NBA’s anti-tampering rule.

On August 7th, Green was an analyst on TNT’s Inside The NBA, and made a statement about Phoenix’s Devin Booker. He said, “It’s great to see Book playing well and Phoenix playing well, but get my man out of Phoenix. It’s not good for him. It’s not good for his career. Sorry Chuck, but they’ve got to get Book out of Phoenix. I need my man to go somewhere that he can play great basketball all of the time and win because he’s that kind of player.”

Green said this despite Phoenix starting off the NBA restart 5-0. Booker, who made his first all-star game this year, averaging 26.4 points, 4.1 rebounds and 6.6 assists before the shutdown. The Suns still have a chance go to the playoffs, as they are currently two games behind the 8th-seeded Memphis Grizzles.
