Portland Trail Blazers vs Boston Celtics Game Review 2/8/20
The Portland Trail Blazers went up against the Boston Celtics today in Orlando. The Celtics had already clinched a playoff spot and they were sat at the 3rd seed in the East, whereas the Trail Blazers were sat at the 9th seed in the West, 2.5 games behind the 8th seeded Grizzlies.
After an ice cold shooting game against the Bucks, Jayson Tatum led the Celtics this game. He played 40 minutes and shot 10-21 from the field, along with 5-8 from 3. He scored a team high 32 points, grabbed 4 rebounds while dishing out 8 assists and getting 2 steals.
Along with Tatum, the Celtics were lead by shooting guard Jaylen Brown. Brown shot 10-18 from the field and 6-8 from 3-point range. He pulled in 5 rebounds and got 1 assist, he scored 30 points and got 2 steals in 37 minutes of game time.

Gordon Hayward had a good game for Boston, he played for 35 minutes and scored 22 points on 6-10 from the field and 4-5 from beyond the arc. He grabbed 9 boards and dished out 3 assists and got 1 steal.
Marcus Smart came off the bench and scored 3 points, grabbed 4 rebounds and got 4 assists and 3 steals. Enes Kanter played 20 minutes off the bench, he shot 4-7 and scored 11 points as well as grabbing 8 rebounds, he also got 2 assists.
Damian Lillard played 44 minutes for the Trail Blazers, he shot 8-20 from the field and 5-14 from 3. He scored 30 points and dished out 15 assists. He also got 2 rebounds. Jusuf Nurkić scored 30 points on 12-21 shooting. He pulled in 9 rebounds and got 5 assists and 2 steals in 32 minutes.



Carmelo Anthony shot 5-14 from the field and 3-6 from beyond the arc to score 13 points. He got 3 rebounds and 2 assists in 34 minutes.
Gary Trent Jr. came off the bench for the Trail Blazers and scored 21 points on 7-11 shooting from 3-point range, he grabbed 1 board, dished out 1 assist and got 1 steal in 34 minutes.
The Celtics were up 67-48 at half time, they were outscored 38-27 in the 3rd quarter and 38-34 in the 4th quarter and with 3.4 seconds left in the game the Celtics were up 125-124. With a late free throw and a turnover from Portland the Celtics were able to win the game 128-124.
