Real Madrid Wins La Liga

After a very competitive campaign against Barcelona, Real Madrid have won La Liga for the 34th time in their history. Real Madrid beat Villarreal 2-1 to guarantee their championship season. Madrid was led by captain, Sergio Ramos and they have had a great season, only losing 3 games throughout their 37 matches in the Spanish 1st division.

Players like Sergio Ramos, Karim Benzema, Federico Valverde, Toni Kroos and more were very important for Real Madrid this season, performing at a high level every game they played. Manager, Zinadine Zidane has led Real Madrid to victory by trusting in his veterans to mentor young players, and make them into superstars, and that is exactly what happened in the case of youngsters like Valverde, Vinicius Jr, and Rodrygo.

Sergio Ramos was most definitely the MVP for Real Madrid this season. He led the team as their captain and showed why he is one of the best defenders in the world by keeping 18 clean sheets. Ramos also showed his skill on the other side of the pitch, having 10 goals as a center back!

Real Madrid did have some injuries this season that delayed their championship win. Star winger, Eden Hazard was injured for 29 of the 37 games played for Real Madrid in La Liga which was a huge blow since he is one of Madrid’s star players when on the pitch.

Although Madrid did have some obstacles in their way this season, they came up on top of the competition because of their elite play and team chemistry. They showed all season long why they deserved to lift the La Liga trophy and after a two year drought, they have finally proven that they do not need Cristiano Ronaldo to come on top of long time rival, Barcelona.
