Chief’s hand Chris Jones 4-year extension

The Chiefs and star Chris Jones have reached a 4-year contract extension worth $85 million and a $60 million guarantees.

The Chiefs now have their anchor in their defensive line locked up for four more years which will keep him on the team through 2024. It was unknown if Jones was going to receive his big-money contract as the Chiefs decided to pay star Patrick Mahomes and give him the biggest deal in sports history. Jones was rumored to pull a “Le’ Veon Bell” and decided to skip out on the season if he was not paid the money he felt he deserved.

Last season Jones recorded 9 sacks, 1 forced fumbles, 4 pass deflections, 8 tackles for loss, and 20 quarterback hits. Jones has stated after the Chiefs won the Super Bowl that it’s only the beginning for Kansas City and this is just the start of a dynasty.
