More Details Emerge from Adrian Wojnarowski’s ESPN Suspension
ESPN reporter, Adrian Wojnarowski, was suspended by ESPN this morning for using profanity in an e-mail sent to a senator of Missouri.
The senator announced that he had sent a letter to NBA commissioner Adam Silver that accused the league of censoring support for law enforcement and the military.
Wojnarowski replied with a two-worded e-mail that read: f**k you.
The senator’s office shared a screen-shot of the e-mail to twitter.
Wojnarowski quickly apologized and called his reply ”disrespectful,” a regrettable mistake,” and ”unacceptable.”
NBA fans and players have been backing Wojnarowski and the hashtag #freewoj is trending on Twitter. The players who have spoken up about this include Lebron James, Patrick Beverly and Lou Williams.
The length of his suspension has been reported as 1-2 weeks. The short suspension is not surprising since Wojnarowski is one of the NBA’s most prolific reporters. Many fans want Wojnarowski to reporting the NBA’s restart at the end of the month.
