Former Cavalier JR Smith is signing with the Los Angeles Lakers for the remainder of the season.
With the loss of Avery Bradley, this helps the Lakers tremendously. Not only is Smith a glorified shooter, he is an underrated perimeter defender. He will no doubt be given the task of guarding some of the league’s best guards.
Last season, Smith appeared in a limited 11 games for the Cavaliers, where he averaged 6.7 points to go along with 1.9 assists and 1.6 rebounds per game. Not overwhelming stats by any stretch of the imagination but he will certainly be looking to up those numbers by reuniting with his previous teammate LeBron James.
Lets just hope that he can remember the score this time around.
