Borussia DORTMUND Sign BIG Defender!!

The 2019/20 Bundesliga runner ups Borussia Dortmund are not wasting much time in preparing for the 2020/21 campaign after just falling sort of the title against long time rivals Bayern Munich. Borussia Dortmund boost up their defense by signing the big Belgian Thomas Meunier, right back on a four-year free transfer fee from Paris Saint German. Thomas Meunier joins The Black and Yellows after only playing 16 out of 38 matches this season in the Ligue 1. Thomas Meunier enjoyed a four year spell at Les Rouge et Bleu where he made; 84 appearances; winning 3 Ligue 1 titles; 1 Coupe de France; 1 Coupe de la Ligue; 3 Trophée des Champions. It’s safe to say he knows his fair share about being a champion, he hopes to bring that spirit to earn Borussia Dortmund some trophies for the trophy shelf. In the 2018 FIFA World Cup Thomas Meunier was the star right back for the ‘Golden Generation’ Belgium National Team snagging bronze at the end of it. Meunier will partner up with his Belgium teammates Axel Witsel and Thorgan Hazard to hopefully lead Borussia Dortmund to its first Bundesliga title since the 2011/12 campaign where they lifted up the trophy for their 5th time in the clubs history.

This proves again why Borussia Dortmund is always at the top of their game when it comes to making the big signing. For the past two years Achraf Hakimi has had a loan spell at Dortmund from Europe giants Real Madrid and as the Summer transfer window comes closer it is becoming clearer that Hakimi will be returning back to Los Blancos, Thomas Meunier will add strength to the right back position while also being a winger option as he is know to do that as well.
