Lakers Interested in Bradley Beal

The Los Angeles Lakers have been rumored to be interested in trading for Washington Wizards superstar, Bradley Beal. It is unlikely Beal gets traded to Los Angeles since his agent Mark Bartelstein stated “there are no Beal sweepstakes and that’s why he re-signed with the Wizards”. Beal just recently signed an extension with the Washington Wizards that last two years and earns Beal $72 million dollars. That extension kicks in at the start of the 2021-22 season.
Beal, having a career year, averaging 30.5 points and 6.2 assists has been in the eye of many NBA GM’s, but he has no plans on being traded from the Wizards, especially considering they will be fighting for the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference this July, and it is only reasonable to believe that the Wizards consider Beal to be untouchable as well, so they would only accept a trade offer of another superstar was involved or if the trade blew them away.
The Lakers, being a clear contender for a championship this year but only have Anthony Davis for a year and although he may resign with the Lakers, Davis can still explore his options as a free agent after this season comes to an end and Lebron James, entering his 18th season next year means that the Lakers do not have much time to work with if they want to be winners for a long time, so Beal could be that missing piece of the puzzle that could double the Lakers chances of winning another championship.
