Washington Redskins rookie Antonio Gandy-Golden Recovers From COVID-19
Washington Redskins rookie Antonio Gandy-Golden has announced he made a full recovery after being diagnosed with Coronavirus. Gandy-Golden was diagnosed with the virus on March 24 while he was doing his pre-draft training.
Gandy-Golden was cleared of the virus on April 7 and is ready to start the season. Gandy-Golden had mild symptoms and once he was notified of having the virus he self-isolated for two weeks and followed all the guidelines given by health experts.
Gandy-Golden has become the third player to be diagnosed as Rams center Brian Allen was diagnosed in early April followed by Bronco Star Von Miller in May. Gandy-Golden was a fourth-round pick in this year’s draft and now heads to Washington where he has a good chance of getting valuable playtime. In his final year at Liberty, he caught 70 receptions for a career-high 1,304 yards and 9 touchdowns.
