Utah Jazz Forward Bojan Bogdanovic has reportedly been playing with an injured right wrist. Throughout the season he has been fighting the pain and still managed to shoot 41.4% from deep.
Bojan Bogdanovic is one year into his four-year $73 Million deal and the Jazz do not want to risk long-term damage to his hand as they have him locked up for three more seasons.
The Jazz and Bogdanovic agreed that the wrist surgery was in the best interest of both parties as per Adrian Wojnarowski.
Bogdanovic is going to miss the rest of the season if the NBA suspension is lifted.
Bojan Bogdanovic was coming off the best season of his career. He was averaging a career-high 20.2 points per game and was a huge part of their offense. With Gobert holding down the fort on the defensive end, Bogdanovic has been Donovan Mitchell’s right-hand man on offense.
He played a huge part in helping the Jazz climb all the way up to the #4 seed in the highly competitive Western Conference.
The Jazz’s chances of making a solid playoff run without Bogdanovic are quite low. Bojan Bogdanovic was Utah’s best shooter by a mile and his teammates were aware of his contributions.
“Salute to my brotha @44Bojan for fighting through for us this year… one of the toughest dudes I know!! Get right for next season.” Said Donovan Mitchell after finding out about Bogdanovic’s surgery.
Donovan Mitchell is going to have to rely a lot more on Joe Ingles for their three-point shooting now, who was benched in favor of Royce O’Neale halfway through the season.
The Jazz have one of the most complete teams in the NBA and will be ready to compete for a title next season.
