LeBron James Receives Two Honors at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards

LeBron James is recognized by many for his impact not only on the court but off it. That’s precisely why James was awarded the Generation Change Award and the Favorite Male Athlete Award at the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. His resume off the court is just as luxurious as on it. Helping low-income families and neighborhoods alike, James has made it his mission to help kids in need.

Lebron James most notable charitable effect has been within his foundation, the LeBron James Family Foundation. Not only has it helped students through high school, it has literally created a school of it’s own. In 2018, the foundation supported the creation of the I Promise School. This is a public elementary school in Akron, Ohio that was specifically made for at-risk children. This school not only has a daily food pantry for the families of students, it offers free tuition to its graduating students to the University of Akron.

At this point, there should be no questions about why James received these awards. He has impacted the lives of millions of children and been a role model to his surrounding communities. Ever since he entered the league, it’s been nothing but class from his end. Players entering the league should most definitely take notes on what James has done over his 17 year career.
