Andy Dalton has signed a 1-year deal with the Dallas Cowboys worth $7 million and $3 million guaranteed. Dalton did not take long to find a new team as he was just released by the Cincinnati Bengals just two days ago.
The Cowboys bring the veteran Dalton who will likely play the role of Dak Prescott’s backup for the season and possibly the future. With the Bengals selecting quarterback Joe Burrow with the first overall pick just a few weeks ago it was almost certain Dalton was gonna get the boot out of Cincinnati.
In Dalton’s 9 seasons as the starter for the Bengals, he recorded 31,594 yards thrown on a 62% completion percentage, and 204 touchdowns with 118 interceptions.
