Classic Game Reviews: Devin Booker’s 70 Point Game.

On March 24th, 2017, the Phoenix Suns were in Boston to take on the Celtics.

Derrick Jones shot 2-3 from the field, and 3-4 from the line. He grabbed 4 rebounds, 2 offensive, and 2 defensive, he got 0 assists and 1 steal. He fouled out in just under 32 minutes and scored 7 points. Jared Dudley came off the bench for Phoenix and played for 28 minutes, he shot 2-3 from the field, 1-2 from 3, and 1-2 from the line. He got 4 rebounds, dished out 10 assists, and 1 turnover. He finished with 6 points.

Devin Booker made 21 of 40 shots from the field including shooting 4-11 from beyond the arc, he made 24 of his 26 attempts from the free-throw line, he grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out 6 assists, got 3 steals and 1 block. He finished the game with a game-high 70 points.

Isiah Thomas played 32 minutes, shot 10-20 from the field, 3-9 from 3, and 11-11 from the free-throw line. He scored a team-high 34 points, dished out 7 assists and grabbed 2 rebounds. Marcus Smart came off the bench and scored 9 points on 1-13 shooting, he grabbed 3 boards, dished out 7 assists and got 2 steals.

In the end, the Celtics took the win with a final score of 130-120. After this game Booker became one of 6 players to score 70 in a single game, it was the 11th game in NBA history with a player scoring 70 or more points and Booker became the player to score the most points in a loss.
