Packers rookie offensive guard almost throws his aspirations, declining a call from the Green Bay Packers!!!

According to ESPN – last Saturday, day three of the 2020 NFL Draft, the offensive guard Paul Runyan Jr, accidentally declined a call from Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Packers general manager, Brian Gutekunst tried to inform and congratulate the Michigan Wolverine Alumni after deciding to select Runyan Jr in the 6th round, 192nd overall. Instead, Gutekunst’s call was declined.

In an interview with ESPN, Runyan Jr said, “I tried to call back and my call didn’t go through, and I had no idea what I just did.” He might’ve thrown away his opportunity, hadn’t it been for the patience of the Packers organization. Luckily for the Runyan family, it all worked out at the end of the day; Now he’s happily continuing his fathers legacy in Green Bay.
