Kyree Walker to forgo college and prepare for 2021 draft
3-star heavily hyped high school basketball recruit Kyree Walker will not attend college but will instead sign with Chameleon BX in preparation of the NBA draft according to “Swish Cultures”.
It was highly anticipated where Walker would go as his college offers were very iffy. Many speculated that he would play basketball overseas however, nobody saw this route coming. A player we have seen take this approach in recent years is Knicks center Mitchell Robinson.
Robinson decided to forgo college to instead train for the league. Walker will take the exact same route, but this time, he will be trained by a high level sports program designed to help you adapt to the next level.
According to ESPN, Walker had offers from Arizona, Arizona State, Kansas, Memphis, Oregon, and many more high profile schools, so it’s quite shocking to see him take this route given he had these opportunities.
Walker showed out last season at Hillcrest prep according to Max Preps as he averaged 30.2 points per game, along with 11 rebounds, and 3.4 steals per game. Walker is no stranger to efficiency as he also shot 53% from the field, and 47% from behind the arch in his senior season, as he also led his team to a 15-0 record in league play.
Walker has been a sensation since his early years of high school formerly ranked as a 5-star recruit, and really put his name on the map after his viral clip from the MSHTV camp in a duel with Julian Newman went viral.
Walker is rumored to now spend the next 12 months training for the NBA, and will likely declare for the 2021 NBA draft.
