Josh Cristopher commits to Arizona State

Josh Christopher known by many as “Jaygup” the #10 ranked player in the 2020 ESPN 2020’s class has committed to Arizona State University.

Josh played at Mayfair high school this season alongside highly hyped Syracuse commit Dior Johnson. Cristopher averaged 29.6 points, 11.2 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 3.5 steals.

The 5-star recruit also won the CIF-SS division 1 player of the year, and racked up many other awards throughout his stellar 4 year high school career. Note that Cristopher was the only Guard in the top 100 of the class to record double digits in rebounds per game.

Christopher teased his commitment a couple of days ago but it wasn’t much of a hint… “I gotta hint. The school that I’m going to has yellow in their colors”

Christopher will lead the helm at ASU next season however he will have #34 ranked prospect, small forward Marcus Bagley alongside him.

This was a very highly anticipated commitment as Michigan were labeled as heavy favorites to land Christopher. We now await the commitment of #1 ranked prospect who has drawn comparisons to that of Kobe Bryant. He is scheduled to commit on Friday.
