Texans trade for wide receiver Brandin Cooks

The Houston Texans have traded for wideout Brandin Cooks as they send a 2nd round pick to the Los Angeles Rams and receive Cooks as well as a 2022 4th-round pick. The Texans now bring in Cooks in hopes of strengthening their receiving core with the departure of star receiver Deandre Hopkins earlier in the year.

For the Texans, they get a receiver who recorded 583 receiving yards on 42 receptions and 2 touchdowns. Cooks missed 2 games in the 2019 season as he suffered a concussion Week 8 in a matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals. Cook did have an off-year as his stats did fall off a significant amount but with a fresh start, he now has a chance to prove he still is the player he once was.

For the Rams, they are now losing a key piece to their team that once led them to the Superbowl. And are now without another offensive piece to their team as they lost star running back Todd Gurley last month due to salary problems.
