Classic Game Reviews: Wilt Chamberlain 100 Points
On March 2nd 1962 the New York Knicks were in Pennsylvania to take on the Philadelphia Warriors.
Wilt Chamberlain and Guy Rodgers both played 48 minutes for the Warriors. Guy Rodgers shot 25% from the field shooting 1-4 and shot 75% from the free throw line with 9-12. He grabbed 7 rebounds, scored 11 points and dished out 20 assists. Wilt Chamberlain shot 51.7% making 36 out of 63 shots. He shot 87.5% from the line scoring 28 of 32 attempts. He grabbed a game high 25 rebounds, got 2 assists and scored 100 points, the most points in a regular season game in NBA history.
Richie Guerin played for the Knicks, he shot 13-29 from the field and 13-17 from the line in this game scoring a team high 39 points. He grabbed 8 rebounds and dished out 6 assists in 46 minutes of playing time. Willie Naulis played 43 minutes and shot 40.9% from the field and 86.7% from the line and scored 31 points. He also dished out 2 assists and grabbed 7 rebounds.

In the end the Philadelphia Warriors won the game with a final score of 169-147. This took their record to 47-29 and the Knicks record to 27-46.
No one would score above 75 points, apart from Wilt, until Kobe Bryant scored a career high 81 points in 2006.
