Luka Doncic for MVP?

Never in a million years did anyone expect Luka Doncic to develop into an elite superstar in his first two years of playing in the National Basketball Association. Doncic has been astonishing through his two years of playing in the NBA. When you talk about generational talent, Luka Doncic is definitely in that conversation.

This season, Luka is averaging 29.7 PPG, 9.5 REB, and 8.9 AST a game on 47.7% shooting from the field and 33.1% from the three-point line. It is worth noting that Doncic is third in points per game, third in assist per game, and third in efficiency amongst all players in the NBA. Luka also has 11 triple-doubles on the season. Luka has 17 30pt games this season, 9 35pt games this season, and 4 40pt games this season, all of those games are within 36 games this season. Many people are talking about LeBron James, Anthony Davis, James Harden, or Giannis Antetokounmpo potentially winning the 2019-20 NBA MVP Award, meanwhile, Luka Doncic is being overlooked due to experience in the NBA.

It is worth mentioning that since Luka has been drafted, he has impacted his team drastically, especially this season. Through 36 games this season, the Dallas Mavericks are sitting at 6th in the Western Conference with a 23-13 record, which is above .500. Luka is currently leading the entire league in All-Star votes with a total 1,073,957 votes, the only other two players to hit a million votes in the first returns were former league MVP LeBron James and Giannis Antetokounmpo. Luka Doncic is nothing short of sensational, elite, dynamic player that has no plans to slow down anytime soon. Some NBA executives believe that Luka is a top 5 player in today’s league, which is decently impressive because Luka is only 20 years young. Offensively, Luka is a sure-talent. Luka moves so swiftly with and without the ball, his ability to create his shots off the dribble is like no other. Not only can he create his shots to perfection, but he can also dish out dimes and create shots for his teammates. Statistically non-statistically, Luka is dominating the league and It is only right to say that Luka Doncic is making a strong case for winning MVP this year
