Mavs Beat Rockets In Houston.

Reigning Rookie Of The Year Luka Dončić and the Dallas Mavericks travelled to Houston to face James Harden and the Rockets. Luka has had an outstanding season so far averaging 30.6 Points Per Game, 10.1 Rebounds Per Game and 9.8 Assists Per Game. Bear in mind that this is his second season in the league, he could be a true legend.

This game ended with a win for the Mavs behind Luka’s 41 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists. This was his 4th straight 30+ point game and his 9th this season. Some people have said that he’s making a strong case for MVP, which if he won he would be the youngest player in NBA history to win the award.

Mavs Guard Tim Hardaway Jr. Contributed to the win with 31 points and 5 assists. Porziņģis scored 23 points and grabbed 13 boards in 34 minutes.

Despite former MVPs James Harden and Russell Westbrook combining for 59 points, 14 boards and 17 assists it wasn’t enough to overcome the Mavs.

Clint Capela played for the Rockets and got a double-double in 35 minutes. He scored 21 points and grabbed 22 rebounds. He also dished out 3 assists. This is his 6th game this season with 20 or more rebounds.

The Mavs shot 49/101 from the field including 17/44 from beyond the arc. They scored 22 of their 28 free throws. In total the team grabbed 47 rebounds, 12 of them being offensive, dished out 28 assists, got 9 steals and turned the ball over 14 times.

The Rockets scored 45 of their 98 shots from the field, including their 10/44 3-point shots. They shot 23/31 from the free throw line. The team got 52 rebounds, 14 offensive, 26 assists and 7 steals. They turned the ball over 11 times.

The Mavs next game is against the Los Angeles Clippers at home on Tuesday night.

The Rockets are going up against Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat on Wednesday night at the Toyota Center in Houston.
