What Giannis Antetokounmpo Thinks About Kawhi leaving the Raptors

Reigning MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo seemed a little disappointed that Kawhi left the Raptors to sign with the LA Clippers. In a recent interview with ESPN, Giannis wished that Kawhi stayed in Toronto so that he can get another chance at defeating Kawhi and the Raptors in a seven-game series.

Giannis Antetokounmpo:

“For me personally, I would love for Kawhi to stay in the East and stay in Toronto because I would love to go through the series with them again,” Antetokounmpo said. “But unfortunately, this is the NBA we are talking about. Moves happen. People change teams. But we got an opportunity right now. We got to take advantage of it, and hopefully we can seize the opportunity and make big things happen.”

Now that Kawhi Leonard is in the West, the only possible seven-game series we can see between them is if the Clippers play the Bucks in the Finals. It’s certainly not a long shot of happening, but it would surely be a dream of Giannis to get his revenge on Kawhi Leonard.
