The Boston Celtics are one of the many teams with interest in signing New Orleans star center Anthony Davis this off-season. Anthony Davis’s agent Rich Paul said “They can trade for him, but it’ll be for one year.. we would abide by our contractual obligations and we would go into free agency in 2020.”

Anthony Davis is still under contract for 28.7 million dollars through the 2019-20 NBA season. The six time all-star center requested to be traded from the New Orleans Pelicans this past February. Unfortunately, no team could come to agreement with the Pelicans before the trade deadline. Davis is still expected to be moved this summer, with the Los Angeles Lakers expected to be his destination.  The young assets the Lakers have to offer the New Orleans Pelicans seems to hold more weight than others. Anthony Davis also let it be known the Lakers are are at the top of his list for long term destinations.

With that said, Anthony Davis’s agent Rich Paul also represents Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James. Rich Paul said “Who gives a shit what you’re talking about. About me trying to help LeBron James? No, I’m not. I’m trying to help Anthony Davis. Now, If helping Anthony Davis helps LeBron in the long run? So be it, but my goal is Anthony Davis.” Which makes the possibility of the Los Angeles Lakers landing Anthony Davis more realistic.
