Golden State Warriors superstar Kevin Durant left game 5 of NBA Finals early due to an Achilles injury. Durant finished with 11 points, 2 rebounds in 12 minutes, shooting 3-3 from deep before heading back to the locker room to be examined by staff.

Despite Warriors star Kevin Durant leaving the game early due to injury, the Golden State Warriors still managed to get the win defeating the Toronto Raptors 106-105. Escaping elimination and extending the series another game. Stephen Curry had a clutch performance in the fourth quarter by hitting big time shots. Curry finished the game with 31 points, 8 rebounds and added 7 assists to compliment his five made 3-Pointers to his amazing stat-line. Klay Thompson also played a big role in the Warriors win, finishing the game with 26 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists while topping it off with seven made 3-Pointers.

GOLDEN STATE WARRIORS PRESIDENT BLAMES HIMSELF FOR DURANT’S INJURY

Golden State Warriors president of basketball operations Bob Myers appeared to be emotional during his post game press conference. He tried to hold back tears while speaking about Kevin Durant and his injury. “Kevin, it’s an Achilles injury, but I don’t know the extent of it”, said Bob Myers. Kevin Durant is expected to have an MRI Tuesday.

Bob Myers said, “He was cleared to play tonight, that was a collaborative decision. I don’t believe there’s anyone to blame, but I understand this world and if you have to, you can blame me. I run our operations department, and to tell you something about Kevin Durant. Kevin Durant loves to play basketball, and the people that questioned whether he wanted to get back to this team were wrong.”

The Golden State Warriors will be without superstar Kevin Durant as they face off with the Toronto Raptors one last time in the Oracle Arena in hopes to force a game 7.
