Isaiah Thomas to Make Return Tonight

0

Isaiah Thomas of the Denver Nuggets, once known for being the centerpiece of the Celtics not too long ago, has been an afterthought this season. However, that is only because he has been sidelined with a hip injury. Hip injuries aren’t to be laughed at, because Thomas has missed 11 months with that lingering injury.

The injury links back to the Celtics-Cavs blockbuster trade for Kyrie, and has been an issue ever since. Tonight, against the Sacramento Kings, Isaiah Thomas will be returning to action. Denver fans around the world should be ecstatic, as Thomas only makes one of the deepest teams in the league, even more deep. With players like Malik Beasley, Mason Plumlee, Juan Hernangomez, and Will Barton, IT will make this bench as good as any in the league.

To get the point, this bench, without IT, had the ability to put up 59 points against Cleveland by themselves. They’re for real.

With Denver looking to make a playoff push, and staying at the number 2 seed, it’ll be crucial for Thomas to perform at a high level. He won’t be perfect right away, but the fact that he hasn’t been rushed back is a positive. He can take his time, and really be on that SLOW grind. In a few weeks, we may be looking at a team primed to make the WCF, with Thomas leading the bench charge.
