4 players Toronto should trade for…

1

Without any doubt, The Toronto Raptors havé established themselves as a championship contender with Kawhi Leonard playing out of his mind, Kyle Lowry having a career year at the age of 32 and Serge Ibaka finally finding a role on the team. The Raptors hold the best record in the NBA currently 26-10. The Raptors definitely have the fire power to win a championship but is it enough to beat the Warriors? Here are few possible trade pieces Toronto should trade for:

To start, let’s talk about the untouchables and trade block:

Untouchables: Pascal Siakam, Kawhi Leonard, Kyle Lowry, Serge Ibaka, OG Anunoby, Danny Green, Fred Vanvleet

Players that Raptors would trade for something extremely beneficial: Delon Wright, Jonas Valanciuanas

Trade Block (willing to give up): Norman Powell, CJ Miles, Malachi Richardson, Picks

So the following are 4 players the Raptors should trade for:

1. Jeff Green (Washington Wizards)

Green is a terrific two-way player who would fit perfectly with the raptors defensive and offensive system. Green is 6’9 lanky, and is on a one year deal. Green could provide scoring from anywhere on the floor. Currently he is averaging, 11.2ppg, 50% FG and 36% 3pt. It wouldn’t take much to get him as Wizards are having a rough time and might want to change things up.

2. Rodney Hood (Cleveland Cavaliers)

Rodney Hood is having a pretty decent year after resigning on a multi-year deal with the Cleveland Cavaliers. Hood, who is 26, is averaging 13ppg, 45% FG and 36% 3PT. Cleveland is looking to use his value to get younger pieces or picks for their rebuild. Adding in a piece like Norman Powell should make the Cavs consider this deal.

3. Justin Holiday (Chicago Bulls)

Justin Holiday is a straight up shooter. He’s not going to create for his own shot, nor is he going create for others, but he is excellent at what he does. Holiday is putting up 12.2PPG while shooting 37% for 3PT, which is really good considering the amount of playmaking on the Bulls. Holiday is currently 29 and Bulls would be interested in moving him as they are considered as rebuilders.

4. E’Twaun Moore (New Orleans Pelicans)

E’Twaun Moore is a solid defender and a decent offensive player. He is averaging 13.4PPG, 50%FG and 42% 3PT. A lot of rumours are circulating around Anthony Davis leaving so maybe they would willing to start a rebuild after they lose AD (if they do). CJ Miles would be pièce raptors would willing to include.
